Our Lovely Mum

Mary was a special Mum to Hannah and me and Granny to Molly. It wasn't easy bringing up twin daughters single handed but she did it with so much love and kindness and showed us both how to become independent people just like her.

Whilst we were growing up in Stourbridge she devoted herself to us and also threw herself in to volunteering for the Twins and Multiple Births Association (now Twins Trust), helping to run events and at one time chairing the organisation.

She worked as a legal secretary, and was happy working past her retirement age at Talbots in Stourbridge and then Kidderminster when she moved to Bewdley.

She loved her quilting and was very active in the midlands region, at Crystal Quilters and Forest Quilters too. All of us in the family and our friends too have some Mary Lowe creations that we cherish!

She had some happy years living in Bewdley but I am so glad that she made the move in the last couple of years to live down near Tim, Molly and me in Amersham. She was very happy living near us, getting to spend some quality time with us and being a much loved 'Granny Mary', as well as throwing herself in to social activities at Kings Lodge and joining several local quilting groups there too!

It was a privilege to spend time with her and I will miss her very much
